KIDS & TEENS SUMMER CAMP
Violet Cooking Academy for Teens specializes in culinary instruction for young chefs ages 13 to 17, offering a thoughtful blend of demonstration, hands on participation, and guided taste exploration. Our program supports both beginners and more advanced students, helping them build confidence and technique in a professional kitchen environment.
In addition to our teen program, we also offer classes for Jr Chefs ages 9 to 12, creating opportunities for younger students to learn foundational skills while growing into more advanced culinary experiences over time.

Greek Cooking with Guest Chef Despina Gianopulos Landers
Join us for a special evening of Greek cooking with Guest Chef Despina Gianopulos Landers, who will be sharing a collection of authentic recipes from her personal kitchen. This class offers a thoughtful blend of hands-on cooking and chef-led demonstration, giving guests the opportunity to learn, taste, and connect through the flavors of Greece.
Guests will be guided through the preparation of a beautifully curated menu rooted in tradition, with a few fresh interpretations along the way. The evening concludes with a full, sit-down meal to enjoy everything prepared together.

Meatball Extravaganza with Chef Nishi Lal
Join Chef Nishi Lal for a lively, flavor-packed class centered around one of the most versatile and satisfying dishes in the kitchen: meatballs. In this hands-on experience, you’ll learn how to prepare beef and lamb meatballs and explore how a single base can transform across three distinct flavor profiles. From bright and herbaceous to rich and comforting to bold and globally inspired, this class is all about technique, adaptability, and building confidence in the kitchen.
Chef Nishi will guide you through shaping, seasoning, and cooking meatballs to perfection, while also introducing complementary elements like hand-pulled pasta and warm pita to round out the experience. We’ll finish on a light, elegant note with a citrus almond cake.

Haute Tea à la Violet: Mother's Day Tea
Gather the mothers, mentors, and favorite women in your life and join us for a Mother’s Day Tea at Violet Cooking School, a joyful afternoon inspired by the charm of a French bistro and the elegance of classic English afternoon tea.
Held the day before Mother’s Day, this special gathering is designed for connection, laughter, and a little well-earned indulgence. Think beautiful bites, flowing tea, and the kind of afternoon that invites you to slow down and stay awhile.
You’ll be welcomed with a glass of sparkling rosé or our signature Violet Lemonade, a bright, refreshing non alcoholic option. From there, settle in with our Earl Grey Cream tea or a soothing decaffeinated rooibos as you enjoy a menu of thoughtfully prepared favorites.
Expect spiced scones served warm with crème fraîche and house made preserves, delicate tea sandwiches inspired by Violet Bistro (with vegetarian options available), and an assortment of petit fours and sweet treats that feel just a little bit celebratory.
This is your excuse to dress up a touch, gather your people, and toast to the ones who show up, hold it all together, and make life sweeter.

Join us for an evening of elevated comfort and classic technique with Chef Kristen Shapero at Violet Cooking School.
This thoughtfully curated menu highlights some of our favorite dishes, beginning with Violet’s signature Mizou’s Salad, followed by deeply flavorful braised short ribs paired with a bright spring pea mash. Guests will also enjoy delicate caramelized onion tarts and finish on a sweet note with a beautifully spiced carrot cake.
This class blends chef-led demonstration with a hands-on element, offering a relaxed, engaging experience while you learn the techniques behind each dish. Along the way, you’ll pick up practical tips you can bring back to your own kitchen.
