KIDS & TEENS SUMMER CAMP
Violet Cooking Academy for Teens specializes in culinary instruction for young chefs ages 13 to 17, offering a thoughtful blend of demonstration, hands on participation, and guided taste exploration. Our program supports both beginners and more advanced students, helping them build confidence and technique in a professional kitchen environment.
In addition to our teen program, we also offer classes for Jr Chefs ages 9 to 12, creating opportunities for younger students to learn foundational skills while growing into more advanced culinary experiences over time.

Baking 101: Brioche Cinnamon Rolls
Step into the pastry kitchen and learn to create a Brioche Cinnamon Rolls from start to finish in this fully hands on baking class led by Chef Yesenia Cruz.
In this immersive experience, each guest will make their own batch of cinnamon bun with cream cheese icing, learning essential pastry techniques along the way. Chef Yesenia will guide you through each step, sharing professional tips and techniques to help you build confidence and elevate your baking skills.
At the end of class, you'll take your finished batch of rolls home to share and enjoy.
This class is perfect for home bakers, dessert lovers, and anyone looking to spend a joyful afternoon learning something new in the kitchen.

Macarons 101
Join Violet’s Lead Pastry Chef, Chef Yesenia Cruz, for an immersive macaron workshop designed to demystify one of France’s most elegant confections.
In this hands-on class, you’ll learn the foundations of macaron making from start to finish, including proper mixing technique, macaronage, piping, resting, baking, and troubleshooting common pitfalls. Chef Yesenia will guide you through the science behind achieving smooth tops, delicate feet, and the perfect chewy interior.
Guests will create their own macarons and choose from classic filling options:
• Chocolate ganache
• Vanilla bean buttercream
• Raspberry fruit-based filling
Whether you’re new to pastry or looking to refine your technique, this class will give you the confidence to recreate these beautiful treats at home.

Steak House Favorites
Join us upstairs at Violet Cooking School for an evening inspired by the timeless flavors of a classic American steakhouse. This class blends hands on cooking with live chef demonstration, giving guests the opportunity to both participate and observe while learning the techniques behind several steakhouse favorites.
Chef Kristen Shapero will guide the class through preparing a beautifully seared petite tender steak along with classic accompaniments. Guests will help prepare elements of the menu while Chef Kristen demonstrates key techniques such as building a crisp iceberg wedge with creamy blue cheese dressing, creating golden layered pommes anna, and preparing rich creamed spinach.
At the end of class, guests will sit down together to enjoy the full meal, served as a plated dinner and paired with a glass of wine.
To finish the evening, we will prepare and serve Violet’s warm brownie skillet fresh from the oven.
This class is welcoming to cooks of all skill levels and designed to be both educational and relaxed.

Guests will take part in a single hands-on component, gaining practical insight into key Thai techniques and flavor balance. The remainder of the menu will be demonstrated by Chef Nishi, offering a relaxed, engaging experience where you can observe, learn, and enjoy before sitting down to dine together.

Join us upstairs at Violet Cooking School for a lively Spring Pasta Date Night led by Chef Kathy Katz. This relaxed evening is perfect for couples, friends, or a parent and child looking to share a memorable culinary experience together. All skill levels are welcome.
The evening begins with a hands-on pasta-making session, where guests will roll up their sleeves and learn to shape pesto farfalle from scratch under Chef Kathy’s guidance. Once the pasta is complete, Chef Kathy will demonstrate the remaining dishes while sharing tips and techniques along the way.
Guests will then sit down together to enjoy the full menu in a warm, convivial setting. Expect delicious food, a few helpful kitchen insights, and an easygoing night out.
