Violet, the cozy Cali-French bistro from Dana Slatkin, reopens its doors in Westwood Village on Friday, June 19 and transitioned the popular Violet Cooking School to ZOOM. They are offering Violet Shop items online like signature cocktails to-go, and reimagining the bistro experience for home cooks with Violet Provisions.
The Violet Chez Vous classes offer instruction and all prepared ingredients for making bistro meals and baked items at home. Upcoming classes include: Blue Ribbon Pies (Dutch apple and chocolate cream, June 16); Violet Rice, Salmon with Vadouvan Curry, and Stonefruit Shortcake (June 18); Blue Ribbon Pies (peach and lemon meringue, June 23); and Chopped Salad, Crab Cakes, Herb Remoulade, and Chocolate Fondue (June 25). Prices start at $120 and include all ingredients, which have been prepped and ready to cook for two to four people.
