When you register for an online class we’ll send you:
- A ZOOM link, so you can easily log into class
- A packet with all the recipes featured in class
- An ingredient list to make shopping easy
- An equipment list so you can be prepared to follow along in class
In Los Angeles? We’ll do the shopping for you! Pick up the ingredients at Violet already measured out at prepared by our staff. Choose the “pick up” option during check out, select the amount of people you’re cooking for and we’ll take care of the rest!

Meet Your Instructor
Director of School Operations JESSE BRUNE-HORAN brings years of culinary expertise, lifestyle media, and teaching to Violet Cooking School. After graduating Le Cordon Bleu in 2006, he dove right into television as a food and wellness expert. He has co-starred in Bravo’s Workout, Food Network’s Private Chefs of Beverly Hills, and OWN’s Emmy-winning Home Made Simple. He has been a featured expert in countless magazines, television shows and books. As a chef instructor, Jesse has led courses at Epicurean Culinary School and The New School of Cooking.
In 2020, Jesse founded the fed collective, a plant-based lifestyle destination, e-commerce store, and catering service. He lives in Los Angeles with his husband and their two young boys. Jesse shares Violet LA’s founder Dana Slatkin’s passion for culinary education and community enrichment, bringing his effervescent joi de vivre to everyone he meets.
