Violet Los Angeles is a charming neighborhood Bistro and Cooking School in the heart of Westwood Village. Housed in a two-story historic brick building, Violet features a lush and romantic courtyard, chic bar and dining room, rooftop terrace, and a beautiful demonstration kitchen.
Reservations are highly recommended. We host numerous private events, from birthdays and weddings to corporate and team-building cooking classes, bar mitzvahs, and afternoon tea.

Corned Beef & Cabbage with Chef Jesse Brune
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a hands-on culinary experience that honors tradition while elevating it with technique and finesse.
This interactive class centers around a beautifully executed Corned Beef & Cabbage, prepared step by step under the guidance of Chef Jesse Brune. Guests will learn the foundations of brining, spice layering, proper simmering, and vegetable timing to achieve tender meat, vibrant cabbage, and deeply developed flavor.
The evening begins with a specialty Irish whiskey cocktail demonstration, where you’ll learn how to build a balanced, spirit-forward cocktail perfect for entertaining.
To close the night, we’ll finish with a classic Irish Coffee served alongside dessert.

Valentines Class: Heart-Shaped Ravioli!
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with an unforgettable hands-on cooking experience designed for couples who love great food, great wine, and a little culinary romance. In this special Date Night class, Chef Kathy Katz will guide you step by step through a refined, French-inspired menu that’s both elegant and deeply satisfying.
You and your partner will cook side by side, learning classic techniques and insider tips while enjoying a relaxed, candlelit atmosphere in our Cooking School. The evening is designed to feel intimate, festive, and just indulgent enough to mark the occasion.
On the menu:
• Heart-shaped lemon ricotta ravioli with brown butter sage sauce
• Warm baguette with whipped butter
• Steak au poivre
• Violet’s classic Caesar salad
• Lemon broccolini
• Cherry crumble to finish on a sweet note
