Violet Los Angeles is a charming neighborhood Bistro and Cooking School in the heart of Westwood Village. Housed in a two-story historic brick building, Violet features a lush and romantic courtyard, chic bar and dining room, rooftop terrace, and a beautiful demonstration kitchen.
Reservations are highly recommended. We host numerous private events, from birthdays and weddings to corporate and team-building cooking classes, bar mitzvahs, and afternoon tea.

Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Rolls
Celebrate the flavors of fall with Violet’s Lead Pastry Chef, Yesenia Cruz, in this cozy, hands-on baking class dedicated to pumpkin spice brioche cinnamon rolls.
Chef Yesenia will share the techniques behind a beautifully soft, rich brioche dough, including proper mixing, kneading, proofing, rolling, filling, and shaping. Each guest will prepare and build their own batch of pumpkin spice cinnamon rolls to bake and bring home.

An Early Autumn in Normandy
Join Violet Cooking School Director Jesse Brune for an evening inspired by Normandy, where apples, cider, and the bounty of the French countryside define the regional table.
During this chef-led master class, Jesse will prepare a cozy French dinner that feels just right for the first days of fall. You’ll learn the techniques behind cider-braised chicken, perfectly smooth pommes purée and one of France’s most beloved desserts.
Hands-On Activity: Each guest will build an individual apple tarte tatin before sitting down to enjoy the full meal with a thoughtfully selected wine pairing.
